In the ninth minute, Darwin Nunez hit the ball, and Djordje Petrovic made a great save to tip it over the goal. The custodian then made an amazing save on the post just before the 20th minute to keep the Uruguayan from scoring again. 7.

Luis Diaz is very straight and dangerous, so Axel Disasi is in for a really tough fight. The night turned out to be pretty hot, to be honest. 5.

Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile need to be stronger so that Jota can’t get through and score. Not even close to his best. 4.

Benoit Badiashile: He made a couple of big tackles early on that made him feel good, including a killer one on Diogo Jota five minutes in. He and Silva got in the way of Jota’s goal. He also gives away the penalty, so it’s not his best day at all. 4.

Ben Chilwell: He slid and gave the ball to Nunez on the 14th minute, and the Liverpool forward’s shot went wide. Set up to dive in 35 minutes. Basically what it was. 4.

John Moises Caicedo – Not good for the second goal. Allows Liverpool to counter-attack and score through Bradley because he gives it away too quickly. The Ecuadorian wasn’t as good as he has been in recent games. 5.

He is Enzo Fernandez. Not nearly as much as he would have liked to get on the ball. 5.

Conor Gallagher: Early on, he had a great chance to get a penalty, but Paul Tierney and the video assistant referee wouldn’t let him. Gallagher couldn’t do anything important for the rest of the game. 4.

Noni Madueke—Quiet and useless on the right wing against Joe Gomez, a very strong left back. At halftime, they were hooked. 4.

Raheem Sterling: You knew it was going to happen—booed every time he touched the ball. It was also impossible for him to quiet down the home fans, who were cheering throughout the game. 4.

Cole Palmer—This time as the false nine. There are some nice touches, but nothing really stands out. He was not at all at his magnificent best. 5.

Mykhailo Mudryk – Misses a great chance right after coming on in the 50th minute. He needs to do better, even if it’s on his left foot. 5.

I am Christopher Nkunku. What a way to end. He was so exact with his shot that it went off the post and in. Looks like a real topper. 8.

Malo Gusto: That’s a good play to find Mudryk with that chance for the left. 6.

This is Carney Chukwuemeka. Helps Nkunku reach his goal very well. Carney has been missed. 7.
