Chelsea have held discussions regarding a possible move for N’Golo Kanté and are closely monitoring his situation. No formal loan bid has been made with his Club yet, but Chelsea are exploring Defensive Mid-Field options

Chelsea supporters were thrilled by reports suggesting N’Golo Kante could be making his way back to Stamford Bridge this month.

However, manager Liam Rosenior has been forced back to the drawing board after missing out on Douglas Luiz, who is now set to join Aston Villa.

Although Chelsea had previously been linked with midfielders like Ruben Neves and Elliot Anderson, speculation surrounding both players has gone quiet in recent weeks.

Among all the potential midfield targets, N’Golo Kante remains the player Chelsea fans are most eager to see return to the club.

Reports indicate that Kante is being considered as part of Chelsea’s midfield recruitment plans, though any potential deal would depend heavily on the financial terms and structure involved.

Chelsea aren’t alone in their pursuit of the French international, as Turkish giants Fenerbahce have been working hard to secure his signature.

According to Turkish media outlet Fotomac, Fenerbahce are making one final push to bring the 34-year-old to Turkey, with Kante reportedly interested in the move.

The midfielder is said to be demanding a three-year contract from Fenerbahce, along with wages in the region of €10 million (£8.6 million) per season.

These financial demands could prove problematic for Chelsea, especially if the club is only willing to offer a short-term loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.
