Manchester City Star Rodri has been banned fror Spain! after violating FA rules

The Manchester City player was booked by the referee following complaints to the official before half time during Spain’s 1-0 victory against Italy on Thursday night. The 27-year-old missed their Albania showdown on Monday as only the squad captain may interact with the referee; he was also booked in the 3-0 triumph over Croatia. Introduced for Euro 2024 in an attempt to curb players rushing the referee during decisions, the regulation has Euro 2024.

With their victory over Italy, Spain advanced to the final 16 of Euro 2024 despite that loss. They made sure they would finish top of their group in the process, therefore providing on paper a more favorable draw in the knockout phases. Then Rodri, a defensive midfielder, will return for that crunch collision.

Sofascore claims that Rodri’s 100 per cent passing success (58 out of 58) in the opponent half was the greatest in a Euros game since 1980. Earlier in Euro 2020, he passed Belgium’s Dedryck Boyata against Finland and Denmark’s Andreas Christensen against Slovenia.

Spain, who took home the Euros in 2012 and 2008, will aim to achieve three wins from three against Albania on Monday night. Together with Germany, Spain is one of just two teams that have already qualified for the knockout rounds.
