Former Manchester United Star Cristiano Ronaldo sends Kylian Mbappe a message after Real Madrid move is confirmed
As a small child, Kylian Mbappe used to have pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo on his bedroom walls. He is now poised to follow his hero exactly.
Born in Paris’s northern suburbs, Mbappe became fixated on the concept of copying Ronaldo.
Actually, his father once mentioned his kid used to “spent hours” viewing CR7 movies online.
Ten years later, Mbappe revealed in an interview with Spanish newspaper MARCA how significant the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been on his career.
He remarked, “He is an idol from my boyhood and it was great to meet him when I visited Valdebebas.”
Now, all those years after seeing Ronaldo grow to be one of the Bernabeu greats, Mbappe will wear the renowned white following his announced Monday night move to Real Madrid.
“A dream come true,” he remarked upon the announcement of the agreement. “So glad and pleased to be a member of Real Madrid, the club of my ideal. Nobody can relate to my current level of excitement.
Mbappe responded to the relocation by sharing a photo of himself and Ronaldo, from when he came across Portugal’s all-time best scorer on a Real training facility visit.
Not too long after, the guy himself left his own commentary on Mbappe’s post.
“My time to [eye emoji], ” Ronaldo penned on Instagram. “Enticed to watch you light the Bernabeu.”
The 11-word remark has gotten more than 818,000 likes in an hour at the time of writing—a figure perhaps never seen on the photo sharing network.
