They also think that the £50 million release clause in his deal is too high, and they will only try to sign the 29-year-old if they sell someone else first.

The story also says that Xavi, who has decided to stay as Barcelona’s boss for next season, still has a lot of respect for Silva. Last summer, Xavi tried to get Silva to join the Spanish club.
The midfielder has played 349 times for City in all competitions since he moved to Manchester from a club in Spain for £43 million in the summer of 2017.
Silva has scored 66 goals, set up 62 others, and won many national and European titles in those 349 games.
Bernardo Silva has shown that he is an important player for City.
With 37 starts out of 43 games this season, the center star, who makes £300k a week, is clearly an important player for the team.
In fact, Pep Guardiola said that he feels “safe” and “comfortable” when the Portuguese international is on the field because Silva is so smart and intuitive when it comes to keeping the ball. He saw Silva score the game-winning goal in City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend.
After thinking about everything, we believe that Barcelona should not try to sign the City star if they don’t want to pay the release clause in his contract.
