Scoring five goals against Luton is nothing to me. Imagine scoring five goals against Liverpool when we play again; that’s when they’ll realize they’re average teams.’ Man City Star Erling Haaland gives his thoughts on Liverpool’s title challenge against Manchester City

Erling Haaland, a forward for Manchester City, has been keeping a close eye on the Premier League title race and said, “We are ready to go on the offensive.”

After beating Luton Town 6-2 on Tuesday night, City moved on to the FA Cup quarterfinals at Kenilworth Road.

Five goals, including a hat-trick in the first 40 minutes, were scored by Haaland for Pep Guardiola’s team in an impressive showing.

After missing two months because of an ankle injury, Haaland is back to his old self and has been hitting seven goals in his last six games.

Star player Kevin De Bruyne was also back to full health after a long leg injury and helped set up Haaland’s first four goals against Luton.

The two are keen to help City win their fourth straight Premier League title. Liverpool is currently in first place, just one point behind City. Next Sunday, City and Arsenal will play a crucial match at Anfield, with Arsenal in third place, also one point behind.

Haaland gave Liverpool a harsh warning as they compete for the title. He told ITV Sport, “It’s coming, and we’re on our way.”

When asked about his fitness, Haaland was sure, saying, “I’m reaching my peak condition.” Finally feeling truly wonderful. It’s an exciting sensation. There will be exciting times ahead. We are ready to launch an attack.”

City did, however, face another defeat during their win over Luton. In the 38th minute, Jack Grealish had to leave the game because his groyne injury came back. He looked upset on the bench. “I haven’t talked to the doctor yet, but it looks like he complained about his groyne, so it may be the same,” Pep Guardiola, the manager, said.
