Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola broke down in tears as another Key Manchester City player goes off injured during Training this morning, a very sad moment for Man City fans as the injury seems to be a career ending injury
Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku are both hurt, but Pep Guardiola is hoping that they will be back in a few weeks.
The Manchester City boss didn’t have either player for the 2-1 win over Luton. Haaland missed the game because he hurt his foot in the middle of the week, which was his first Premier League game of the season. Guardiola wasn’t sure if the striker would be ready for next week’s game against Crystal Palace, but he did say that the Norwegian player had not broken any bones.
“Put stress on the bone. A lot of stress. “Just calm down,” he told her. “Please don’t ask if his foot is hurt.” It’s just bone stress.
“I don’t think he will be ready for Crystal Palace either. He wasn’t ready for this game.” He should be ready for Saudi Arabia in the Club World Cup, we hope. “how he feels will depend on the week.”
Doku hasn’t been seen since he limps off in a 3-3 draw with Tottenham a week ago. He didn’t make the squads for the games against Aston Villa or Luton. Guardiola said the Frenchman’s injury wasn’t as bad as Kevin De Bruyne’s, which has ended his season, but he couldn’t say when the player would be back because the club wanted to be safe.
“Itâs muscular, it’s not a big big issue like Kevin was for example,” Guardiola said. “We need to think about it too because he is so charged up.” We need to be careful. I’m not sure when he will be ready, but I think it will be in a week or two.
