Anderson, on the other hand, has enjoyed a breakout campaign at Forest, drawing widespread admiration and pushing himself into contention for England’s World Cup squad.
Spending £175 million on a single player would eclipse any previous British transfer and raise eyebrows, particularly given United’s recent issues with Profit and Sustainability Rules. Such a fee would represent a huge gamble.
