“I told Barcelona board to help me take him out of Manchester City because Pep Guardiola is a baby coach and does not know how to manage this players he always bench such a Star”- Barcelona Manager Xavi has identified Man City Rolls Royce player of the Year as his top priority signing by January and show Pep Guardiola who is the Boss

According to sources, Barcelona is mulling a move for Manchester City attacker Julian Alvarez.

In his time at the Etihad Stadium, the 23-year-old World Cup winner has primarily had to play second fiddle to Norway wonder Erling Haaland. However, due to other players’ injuries, Alvarez has only played 13 games this season, having six goals and five assists to show for it.

Midway through the 2021/2022 season, City signed the Argentina international from River Plate. He cost the triple champions barely £14m at the time and is under contract until 2028.

However, Camp Nou remains interested in the 26-cap forward. According to Sport, Alvarez is a key target for Barcelona as they look for long-term alternatives for Robert Lewandowski.

According to the source, Barcelona manager Xavi and sporting director Deco both admire the City player and will keep an eye on his condition. Alvarez is said to have a £43.4 million release clause.

According to Calciomercato, Italian heavyweights AC Milan are set to come calling for Sergio Gomez. Since moving to the Etihad Stadium, the left-back has been a bit part player.

Milan are said to be interested in the 23-year-old due to his age, talent, and versatility. A price of between €18 million and €20 million has been proposed.

Gomez, who has only started two Premier League games since joining City last summer, is up against Nathan Ake and Josko Gvardiol, who are both ahead of him in the pecking order. He joined City for £11 million from Anderlecht in Belgium.

His contract at the Etihad Stadium is set to expire in 2026. Milan are said to be interested in signing him.
