A Manchester United star is on Real Madrid’s radar to replace Carvajal in one of the biggest and most unexpected transfers of the season

Recent injury woes have left Real Madrid scrambling for reinforcements ahead of the winter transfer window. The club’s officials are particularly focused on addressing weaknesses in key positions, with the right-back role emerging as a top priority due to Dani Carvajal’s prolonged absence.

According to the Spanish outlet Relevo, Real Madrid has identified Manchester United’s Portuguese right-back, Diogo Dalot, as a potential solution to their defensive concerns. The 24-year-old has caught the attention of manager Carlo Ancelotti, who reportedly admires his ability to strike a balance between defensive solidity and offensive support.

Additionally, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has been listed as a prime candidate for a summer move. With his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, the Englishman could join Los Blancos on a free transfer. While Alexander-Arnold is the club’s preferred option due to his exceptional attacking skills, his defensive shortcomings have prompted Real Madrid to explore Dalot as a more well-rounded alternative.

However, securing Dalot’s services may not come easy. Manchester United has set a price tag of €50 million for the player, potentially complicating negotiations. Despite this, Real Madrid appears determined to strengthen its squad and address its vulnerabilities as they gear up for the challenges ahead.
