VERY SAD NEWS has been announced for Manchester City Mid-fielder Rodri after he was injured in the Man City Vs Arsenal match this evening.

Rodri might be destined for a stint on the sidelines after hobbling off in Manchester City’s game against Arsenal.

Rodri had previously been in the battles having been clattered just two seconds in by the shoulder of Kai Havertz which held him down for two minutes. And after Erling Haaland gave City the lead, Rodri tumbled down as a corner came in to provoke cries from the crowd for a penalty.

But Rodri had in reality hooked his studs in the ground and looked to injure his knee, instantly dropping down in significant pain. After receiving treatment, he was able to limp off but had to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic.

And as he passed Pep Guardiola, Rodri merely shook his head and proceeded right down the tunnel. The setback comes after Kevin De Bruyne was not healthy enough to join the matchday squad following his injury versus Inter Milan, with Guardiola defining the issue as ‘not a major, massive’ injury in a pre-match interview.

Guardiola will be quizzed about both Rodri and De Bruyne in his post-match media obligations. Arsenal were soon level after Ricardo Calafiori’s equalizer midway through the first half.

Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb are City’s other injury worries with long-term difficulties. The Blues play Watford in the Carabao Cup barely 48 hours after the Arsenal meeting.
