Huge news have been announced on SKY SPORTS this evening regarding Raheem Sterling’s move to Manchester United in the DEADLINE day šŸ˜±

According to a report, Chelsea has reached out to Arsenal with an offer to sign winger Raheem Sterling. Sterling’s unexpected exclusion from Chelseaā€™s squad for the season opener has fueled speculation about his future. Manager Enzo Maresca has openly suggested that the 29-year-old should secure a move before the transfer window closes on Friday, warning that he wonā€™t be considered for selection if he remains with the club.

Manchester United has also been approached regarding a potential swap deal that would see Jadon Sancho head to Chelsea in exchange for Sterling. While Chelsea is interested in this arrangement, they must first address the remaining three years of Sterlingā€™s substantial Ā£325,000-a-week contract.

In addition to discussions with Manchester United, Chelsea has informed Arsenal about Sterlingā€™s availability. Arsenal, who are in the market for a new forward, previously showed interest in Athletic Clubā€™s Nico Williams. However, Williams has opted to stay with his current team for at least another season despite being sought after by several top European clubs.

Chelsea is hopeful that Arsenal will consider bringing in Sterling, especially since Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has recently expressed admiration for him. However, if Arsenal or Manchester United were to pursue Sterling, it’s unlikely they would match his current wages. Therefore, Chelsea may need to offer further incentives to facilitate the transfer. Given the complexities of the situation, the option for Sterling to remain at Stamford Bridge is still under consideration.
