According to Prominent Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of securing the signing of a dynamic Mali international striker, with negotiations progressing rapidly for what is being described as a bold transfer move.

Manchester United are intensifying their efforts to secure striker El Bilal Toure, with the Mali international emerging as Ruben Amorim’s top attacking priority. The club is eager to wrap up at least two more signings before the transfer window shuts, aiming to bolster the squad amid a mixed start under their new manager.

Amorim’s tenure so far has seen inconsistent results, with United securing eight wins but suffering seven defeats in their first 18 matches. This has prompted a late push in the transfer market, with teenage defender Ayden Heaven already arriving from Arsenal. Now, attention has turned to finalizing deals for Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu and Atalanta-owned forward Toure.

Dorgu is on the verge of completing a £29.3 million transfer and is expected to officially join by the weekend. Meanwhile, United are negotiating an intricate deal for Toure, who is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart. Stuttgart hold an €18 million purchase option on the striker and may activate it before selling him to United for around €25 million. If the transfer is completed, United plan to loan him back to Stuttgart for the rest of the season.

Despite missing part of the campaign due to injury, the 23-year-old has contributed four goals and an assist in 13 Bundesliga appearances. Amorim reportedly views Toure as a superior option to both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, believing the move offers better value than targeting high-profile strikers like Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres.

United’s pursuit of Toure has been made possible by Marcus Rashford’s expected exit, with the forward close to sealing a move to Aston Villa. Amorim has been open to offloading Rashford and Casemiro before the deadline, and Villa boss Unai Emery is said to be pushing hard for the transfer.

In addition to strengthening their attack, United are also assessing long-term options in goal. While a move for a new goalkeeper is unlikely before the deadline, the club is planning for a summer acquisition to eventually replace André Onana. Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the same Bundesliga shot-stopper.
