Gallagher has been closely associated with a summer departure from Chelsea, and it was believed he may be offloaded early in the window to assist the Blues achieve the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability criteria prior to the June 30 deadline.

According to talkSPORT, Gallagher may potentially be on the move following Chelsea’s £33 million ($42m) agreement with Atletico Madrid for the England international. Chelsea had turned down a bigger offer from Aston Villa earlier this summer, even though Gallagher objected.
After the PSR deadline passed, Chelsea extended Gallagher a contract offer whereby he would have become among Stamford Bridge’s top paid midfield players. But the 24-year-old sought a longer offer than Chelsea’s two-year contract offered, which included an extra year option.

Gallagher is yet to negotiate terms with Atletico Madrid; he is supposed to only do so if the terms fit him. Tottenham would be interested in signing him, and the athlete may potentially decide to run down his contract running through 2025.
