Former Manchester United Goalkeeper and David De Gea world have start training with former team this week ahead of stunning football return!
After Manchester United lost to Crystal Palace, Mark Goldbridge called one of the players they bought “one of the worst moves” in the club’s long history.
When United lost to Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park on Monday night, it was the worst loss of their season so far.
One of Manchester United’s possible trade targets, Michael Olise, scored two goals that helped Palace win easily. Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell also scored for Oliver Glasner’s Eagles.
YouTuber and United fan Goldbridge went on a rant during the game when Manchester United had a goal called out for a foul on Dean Henderson.
During a long adult rant on his live stream, he said, “That’s no f****** foul, no way that’s a foul.”
Onana let Olise’s second goal go through him in the middle of the goal, and he might have also been to blame for Mateta’s goal because he let it go by him at his near post.
Odsonne Edouard, a striker for Palace, had a late chance that he hit the post with his feet down.
After the full-time whistle, Goldbridge told Onana how mad he was.
“The trade of David De Gea for Onana will go down in history as one of the worst moves ever.” His tweet said, “Those who were going after De Gea had no idea what we had.”
United let De Gea leave for free last summer and replaced him with Onana, who they bought from Inter Milan for £47.2 million.
During the 2022–23 Premier League season, De Gea won the Golden Glove award. After that, United let him go.
He hasn’t found a new club yet, but he has been teasing a return to football in recent weeks. He has been linked with moves to the MLS, the Saudi Premier League, and teams in his home country of Spain.
