Man City’s Nathan Ake says he doesn’t want a key player to leave.
To be honest, Nathan Ake doesn’t even “want to think” about the idea of Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp said he was leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, which made a lot of people wonder when the City manager would also decide to hang up his boots.
But after Sky Blues’ most recent 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Guardiola said he might stay with the club past 2025, when his current contract ends.

Nathan Ake said that he doesn’t like the sound of Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City when asked about it.
“I don’t even want to think about it,” he said. When everyone heard the news that Jurgen Klopp was leaving Liverpool, it came as a bit of a surprise.
He did a great job as boss of Liverpool. Klopp is a great manager. He will be missed by the Premier League. It didn’t change anything for us though. “All of our attention is on ourselves,” Ake told The Mirror.

It is clear that Nathan Ake, a defender for Manchester City, still has full faith in Pep Guardiola as his manager.
Once a player like Ake joined the club in 2020 and had to deal with Guardiola’s constant demands for perfection, it’s easy to see why he might be tired of his orders. This happens at many teams.
But the Dutch player must feel especially grateful to the Catalan manager for making him such an important part of his team last season.
Nathan Ake wasn’t a big part of Manchester City’s treble-winning season before it, but Pep Guardiola always seemed to think that he could become a world-class defender.
