Manchester United have reportedly secured their third signing of the summer transfer window

Rumours circulating on social media claiming that Manchester United have sealed a £70 million transfer after beating Manchester City and Liverpool to the player’s signature are not backed by credible reports.

The latest updates suggest United are in advanced talks to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta, but the proposed transfer fee is believed to be around £39 million rather than the widely claimed £70 million. The move is also yet to be completed, with the usual procedures, including a medical, still to take place.

Separate reports have also linked the Red Devils with Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos, with a deal reportedly worth around £50 million. However, this is an entirely different transfer and has no connection to the £70 million claim spreading online.

As a result, posts stating that Manchester United have officially completed their third summer signing, with a medical taking place immediately and the player already on his way to Old Trafford, are not supported by reliable sources. The story appears to be another transfer rumour created to generate attention and engagement across social media platforms.

Supporters are advised to wait for official confirmation from Manchester United or trusted transfer journalists before accepting the reports as fact.
