Manchester United have reportedly informed Mateus Fernandes’ camp that they are ready to ADVANCE for the midfielder if West Ham are willing to negotiate in the £50m-£60m range

Sources indicate that Mateus Fernandes’s representatives have been told that Manchester United are ready to push forward with a deal if West Ham United show willingness to negotiate in the £50M–£60M bracket.
The 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder is understood to be open to the switch, while United are also looking to speed up conversations due to growing interest from other suitors.
The situation has taken a more complex turn than initially expected, as many believed discussions would progress more smoothly. However, West Ham are reportedly holding firm in an effort to drive up his valuation and secure the best possible deal.
Fernandes is widely regarded as a highly promising midfield talent with significant potential for development, but the valuation remains the key sticking point.
At a fee around £60M, the deal could be considered reasonable from United’s perspective. If the price rises closer to £80M or beyond, United may begin to weigh up other options rather than entering an inflated bidding race.
