Carrick Delighted as Martínez Returns to Boost United Squad

Michael Carrick has revealed that the recent pause in fixtures has come at just the right time for his side, giving several players the chance to recover and regain full fitness. He noted that the break has been particularly useful, with Mason Mount now back in training and steadily building himself up again.

Carrick also expressed his delight at seeing Lisandro Martínez rejoin the squad after missing a number of matches. He pointed out that having the Argentine defender back involved with the team again is a big positive, especially given his influence on and off the pitch.

Looking at the bigger picture, Carrick stressed that the aim is to continue developing as a unit. With Martínez now back working alongside Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven, the focus remains on improving together and pushing the team forward during the week.

His return certainly provides a timely lift for the squad as they prepare for what lies ahead.
