He added that N’Golo Kante, a Chelsea great, was one of the players he looked up to.
Interestingly, the second player he mentioned was one of the Premier League’s biggest flops in recent years, Paul Pogba.
“N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba were my idols in football,” he went on to say. “I had a great time watching them.
“I used to play with my brother’s friends in my neighbourhood.” It was incredible since they were older, and I learned so much from them.
“Meeting N’Golo Kante was incredible. I was sitting on a bench in Brighton. I believe the score was 1-1. I raced straight to Kante after the game to swap clothing. ‘Of sure,’ he replied.

“He was quite nice to me. It was a great experience for me because I got to meet my idol.
“It was the same with Paul Pogba, and we swapped shirts.” I still have the shirts in Ecuador. Nobody can take the clothing away from you. They mean a lot to me.”
