There is still a lot of talk about Davies’s future with the Bundesliga giants because the Canadian back hasn’t signed a new deal yet. Bayern is hoping that the 23-year-old will eventually sign a new deal with better terms, but talks are said to have stopped behind the scenes.

Team Talk and other news sources say there is a chance he will be released from his contract and ready for transfer if he doesn’t sign an extension. City is thought to be competing with Real Madrid and other top European teams for Davies. Real Madrid is thought to be their main rival.
The story doesn’t talk about the possible fee. Davies has played 44 times for Canada and scored 15 goals.
Additionally, The Daily Mail says that City is one of the Premier League teams keeping an eye on Middlesbrough player Hayden Hackney as he continues to make a name for himself with the Championship team. English U21s have capped the 21-year-old.
It is thought that scouts from both Manchester clubs, as well as Liverpool and Tottenham, were sent to watch Hackney play for Michael Carrick’s team this season. But a move for the Middlesbrough youngster is said to be much more likely to happen next summer than in January.
Hackney worked his way up at Middlesbrough through the Academy system. He has played 20 times for them so far this season and has scored one goal and set up another.
