Manchester United Have WON The Transfer Battle Against Man City And Chelsea To Sign A £60m Midfield Maestro

Manchester United are reportedly moving into pole position in the race to sign highly rated teenage midfielder Patrick Zabi, edging ahead of rivals Manchester City and Chelsea in what is becoming a fiercely contested January transfer pursuit.
The 19-year-old Stade de Reims prospect has caught the attention of several top European clubs thanks to his rapid rise in French football, but United are believed to have made key progress, particularly in discussions around personal terms. That development has strengthened their standing as leading contenders for his signature.
Zabi has been one of the standout young midfielders in Ligue 2 this season, impressing with a rare mix of physical dominance and technical quality. Standing at 6’3”, the Ivorian combines strength and speed with calmness in possession, showing maturity well beyond his years. His ability to play quick passes, drive forward from midfield, and glide past opponents has drawn praise from scouts across Europe. Despite limited starts, he has already chipped in with goals and assists, highlighting his growing influence on matches.
Some within United’s scouting setup have even likened his style to Paul Pogba, pointing to his confidence on the ball and knack for carrying play through midfield. Interest is not limited to England, though. Paris FC have already tabled multiple offers, while clubs linked to the Red Bull group, including RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig, are monitoring the situation closely, with Jürgen Klopp reportedly holding talks with the player.
Even so, United are thought to hold an edge, with their project and global appeal resonating with Zabi. With Michael Carrick keen to make an early impact, the club could soon push ahead with a formal move for a player seen as a major talent for the future.
