Since 2023, the 21-year-old has been embroiled in on-and-off contract discussions with Bayern; lately, these conversations have gathered momentum. The German giants are ravenous to have Musiala the long-term face of the team as his present contract ends in 2026.
This season the offensive midfielder has been in inspirational form for both club and nation; his contract circumstances naturally drew the notice of European heavyweights.
Man Utd and Man City have been connected with Musiala, but Sky Germany claims there is now a strong trend pointing towards the wonderkid extending his contract.
Musiala will get a record pay in the process.

Bayern is acting aggressively to ensure Musiala stays at least for the next three years. With agency commissions and bonus payments included, his new contract’s whole worth will be at least €120 million.
Musiala is not just Bayern’s joint-highest paid player but also the best-paid German footballer worldwide, with an annual pay of €25 million going forward.
With a basic pay thought to be €25m, Star striker Harry Kane is presently Bayern’s highest earning; nevertheless, Sky Germany earlier admitted that details on the England striker’s contract is lacking and varies. His real pay is probably far less.
Either way, Musiala is expected to be brought in line with Kane at the top of Bayern’s salary scale; although, it is not quite known yet how long his contract will last for. Still under debate is whether the 21-year-old joins on for four or five years, the maximum term of a Bundesliga contract.
