Ruben Amorim has reportedly dropped a HUGE bombshell after AC Milan’s 4-2 comeback victory over Manchester United

Former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has reportedly reignited speculation surrounding one of the club’s frustrated stars after watching his former side suffer a 4-2 pre-season defeat to AC Milan in Wroclaw.

Amorim, who became Milan manager in June following his turbulent 14-month spell at Old Trafford, enjoyed a memorable victory against his former club. However, the Portuguese coach quickly became the centre of attention after allegedly expressing a strong desire to reunite with a United player who spent much of the match on the bench.

In the aftermath of Milan’s impressive comeback, Amorim was reportedly asked about the player’s situation and made his feelings clear, claiming that he still wanted the star in his squad. He is also said to believe the player is being used incorrectly under Michael Carrick and that he knows how to get the best out of him.

The comments have immediately fuelled speculation about a potential move to Serie A. Reports from Italy suggest Milan could be preparing an ambitious late-window proposal in an attempt to convince United to part ways with the struggling player before the transfer deadline.

The situation could now create another headache for Carrick, particularly after United’s defensive weaknesses were exposed during the heavy defeat. The player’s limited opportunities under the new manager are also reportedly causing frustration, potentially making a move to San Siro an increasingly attractive option.

With Milan now openly linked with the unhappy United star, Amorim’s comments have added another dramatic twist to the player’s future, and the coming weeks could determine whether the Portuguese manager gets his wish.
