Manchester United Close In on Matheus Fernandes While Tonali and £120m Forward Remain on Transfer Radar

Manchester United’s activity in the summer transfer market continues to generate excitement, with fresh reports suggesting the club has successfully wrapped up a deal for midfielder Matheus Fernandes while also keeping a close eye on Newcastle United star Sandro Tonali.
According to the latest speculation, Fernandes is expected to become another new face at Old Trafford as Michael Carrick looks to reinforce his midfield before the new campaign begins. Although reports indicate that the agreement has been completed, the club has yet to make an official announcement confirming the transfer.
At the same time, Manchester United are believed to be maintaining interest in Sandro Tonali. However, securing the Italian midfielder is expected to be a major challenge, with Newcastle reportedly determined to keep one of their most influential players.
United are also said to be working on an ambitious move to strengthen their attack. Reports claim the club is targeting a forward valued at approximately £120 million, but the selling club is believed to be demanding a deal worth £60 million in cash along with Amad Diallo as part of the transfer package.
Carrick is reportedly eager to see the move completed, viewing the attacker as a player capable of transforming United’s frontline and providing the quality needed to compete at the highest level next season.
While talks are said to be continuing behind the scenes, nothing has been finalized regarding the attacking target. Manchester United supporters will now be waiting to see whether these reported negotiations result in more new arrivals as the club continues its squad rebuild ahead of the new season.
