Manchester United endured a frustrating night as their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League suffered a setback following a 2–1 defeat to Newcastle United.

However, he quickly made up for the mistake by delivering the free-kick that led to Casemiro’s equalising header. Fernandes celebrated passionately in front of the home supporters, who responded with loud boos inside a hostile St James’ Park.
Lammens proven right
United goalkeeper Senne Lammens strongly protested when Ramsey went down in the box earlier in the match, insisting there had been no foul. After a VAR review, the referee agreed and instead issued Ramsey his second yellow card for simulation.
Lammens has been largely dependable since joining the club from Royal Antwerp F.C. in the summer, and the decision helped confirm his claim that no foul had occurred.
