BREAKING NEWS: United set to announce signing of French striker on free transfer

Manchester United are closing in on the signing of promising young striker Enzo Kana-Biyik, who is set to join the club on a free transfer from Le Havre. The 18-year-old French forward has already travelled to Manchester, and only a few final regulatory steps remain before the deal can be officially completed. Once these formalities are taken care of, United are expected to confirm the signing publicly.

Kana-Biyik, who was part of Le Havre’s first-team setup last season without making his senior debut, made an impression at youth level by netting nine goals in 16 matches for the club’s Under-19 side. His consistent performances earned him regular training opportunities with the senior squad, and he’s regarded as a high-potential talent.

Although reports have suggested that Ineos-owned Lausanne-Sport might be interested in taking Kana-Biyik on loan, no concrete plan for his immediate future has been finalised. For now, he’s set to begin his journey with United, possibly starting in their academy setup or under-21 side.

This move mirrors that of Paul Pogba, who also joined United from Le Havre at a young age. The club has already made efforts to accommodate young French-speaking talents, including Mali’s Sekou Kone, by ensuring academy staff can communicate fluently in French. This support system is expected to help Kana-Biyik settle comfortably at Carrington as he embarks on the next phase of his career.
