One thing is lacking from them all. Effective punishment. Offenders penalized for minor rule violations were consistent.
First, I agree that club titles do not work since they do not seem earned and take away excitement. There is no fun. In the event of guilt, City do not deserve the titles either. Better asterisked and removed than illegally kept.
Second, financial penalty is useless to the club unless it falls on the most afflicted clubs. Working that out would be a Post Office saga.
Third, championship relegation fails. As said, it punishes hardworking clubs. Which option? Put them at the bottom of the league. If they broke the rules for years, that should happen. Rangers and Juventus experienced it. Why not City?
