Premier League have just announced the shocking VAR Error By referees of Manchester City VS Chelsea- PGMOL under scrutiny over surprising VAR mistake made by The Referee during the Chelsea Match after Nicholas Jackson was ruled Out as Offside
After it first emerged that referee Simon Hooper was seeing nothing on the primary VAR monitor as he changed his mind about awarding Dominic Calvert-Lewin a penalty against Brighton on Saturday, Everton supporters are in frenzy.
After Lewis Dunk seemed to foul Dominic Calvert-Lewin early in the second half of Everton’s 3-0 loss, they were first given a penalty to try and equalise.
Hooper was summoned over to the screen to consider his choice, but he reversed it, infuriating one fan who labelled it as a “shocking” call over a “stonewall” penalty.
After the primary monitor just displayed generic VAR and Premier League logos and no video of the incident, Jordan Pickford stalked up to the referee to object.
But based on their match report and verified to Mail Sport, the Premier League has insisted Hooper could view the event on a backup monitor.
