Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd and PSG ‘in talks’ over sensational four-player trade; Liverpool close on triple deal with Real Madrid target first Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are in talks over an incredible swap deal involving four players, Arsenal could announce the signing of a Spain star in a matter of days, while Liverpool are closing on a brilliant triple deal, with a Real Madrid target top of their priorities.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly negotiating a groundbreaking four-player swap deal. Meanwhile, Arsenal is expected to announce the acquisition of a prominent Spanish player soon, and Liverpool is close to finalizing a significant triple transfer deal, with a Real Madrid target at the top of their list.
Manchester United’s chairman, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is orchestrating what is being described as his most ambitious transfer plan to date, which includes discussions over a major four-player exchange with PSG. Ratcliffe, the British billionaire, aims to restore United’s dominance in both English and European football. Rather than acquiring established stars, he is focusing on younger talents with high potential, exemplified by the recent signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.
Ratcliffe’s strategy continues with plans to bolster the squad further, including a potential double swoop for Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. However, the most notable development is the rumored four-player trade with PSG. Reports suggest Ratcliffe has approved the departure of two of United’s high-profile players in exchange for PSG’s Manuel Ugarte and Xavi Simons.
PSG is keen on acquiring Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes from United. Despite Sancho’s recent return to training, a significant offer might prompt his departure. Fernandes, a key figure for United with an impressive record of 79 goals and 66 assists in 233 appearances, would be a considerable loss.
To replace Fernandes, United is reportedly targeting Xavi Simons, who impressed during the European Championships and has had successful loan spells at PSV and RB Leipzig. PSG is open to selling the 21-year-old, valued at around €60 million. Alongside Simons, United is interested in Manuel Ugarte, who is also available for transfer as PSG prepares for Joao Neves’s arrival.
This potential four-player deal, involving Sancho and Fernandes moving to PSG in exchange for Ugarte and Simons, could cost United approximately €120 million (£101 million). Such complex swap deals are challenging but could significantly benefit United by addressing key areas and strengthening their squad for the future.
Additionally, Manchester City may pursue PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma if they decide to sell Ederson. Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring Victor Osimhen’s situation after a move to PSG stalled due to financial disagreements. PSG is also in talks with Athletic Club over a deal for Nico Williams and is ready to outbid Barcelona and other Premier League clubs. Arsenal is rumored to be close to signing Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad, while Atletico Madrid plans to make a substantial bid for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher. Bayer Leverkusen has regained control over Jeremie Frimpong’s future, putting Manchester United and Liverpool in a position where they must negotiate directly with the Bundesliga club to secure his services.
