Man Utd ‘Could go Big’ in their pursuit of young talent Leny Yoro! The Red Devils are eyeing the French sensation to bolster their defense. Stay tuned for more updates!

Manchester United are eyeing 18-year-old Lille defender Leny Yoro but have yet to make significant progress in their negotiations, as the player is holding out for a potential move to Real Madrid, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new ownership, United are keen to infuse fresh talent into their squad this summer, with a particular focus on young, promising players like Yoro.

Yoro has garnered interest from several Premier League and European clubs, including both Manchester United and Liverpool. However, Romano notes that the young Frenchman is prioritizing a transfer to Real Madrid, possibly following in the footsteps of fellow French star Kylian Mbappe.

With only one year remaining on his contract at Lille, Yoro is unlikely to stay for the final 12 months, having played a crucial role in securing a fourth-place finish and Champions League qualification for his team. Lille is reportedly asking for £50 million for the talented defender, and it is uncertain if United are prepared to meet this valuation for a player who may not yet be ready for the demands of the Premier League.

Romano, on his YouTube channel, highlighted that several clubs are closely monitoring Yoro’s situation, including Manchester United: “The player is waiting for Real Madrid, but other clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation. There are many rumors about Manchester United – they appreciate and like Leny Yoro, but as of now, there is no advanced stage in the talks with the player. The interest is genuine, so we will see if United decide to make a significant move.”

Often compared to William Saliba, Yoro had an impressive season at Lille, being the second-most played player under Paulo Fonseca despite his young age. Analyst Ben Mattinson has praised Yoro’s “insane level” of play and tipped him as a future ‘Galactico.’ Yoro is expected to have a busy summer, potentially resolving his future before representing France in the Paris Olympics under coach Thierry Henry.

In other transfer news, Manchester United are reportedly in concrete talks to sign Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, as manager Erik ten Hag aims to bring the fellow Dutchman to Old Trafford next season. Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Zirkzee is a top target for United, who are looking to bolster their attacking options alongside Rasmus Hojlund. Zirkzee impressed in Serie A last season, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 34 appearances for Bologna.
