Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka were among four England stars who trained separately from the first squad ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Brazil.

The Three Lions face the five-time world champions at Wembley Stadium this Saturday, after prepping at St George’s Park earlier this week.

Kane, Saka, Cole Palmer, and Jordan Henderson were not seen with the rest of the squad on Wednesday, with Sky Sports stating that the four are completing ‘personalised training programmes inside the gym’.

The former Tottenham player was spotted clutching his left ankle after colliding with the post, forcing him to leave the game with eight minutes remaining.

It called into question his availability for England’s double header against Brazil and Belgium, as well as Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal next month.

Kane did not practice alongside his teammates Palmer, Saka, and Henderson, despite the fact that those three are not known to have any special injury issues.

Despite a weekend injury, Kane returned to the squad.
Saka played the full 120 minutes in Arsenal’s final game before the international break, a Champions League last-16 contest against Porto that went to penalties.

Palmer also played his farewell game for his club without incident, scoring and assisting in Chelsea’s FA Cup quarterfinal triumph over Leicester City.

Kobbie Mainoo, a newcomer at St George’s Park, was invited into the senior England squad on Tuesday.

The Manchester United teenager was initially left out of the group last week, with Gareth Southgate citing a lack of first-team experience as the reason for his absence.

However, after a magnificent performance in the win over Liverpool on Sunday, Mainoo was called up two days later.

‘I was called up to the U21s, then I received a text from Steve Holland. “He told me to meet him at reception,” Mainoo explained.

He informed me that I had been called up to the main squad. I don’t think it has fully sunk in yet. I have [text back home]; they are all buzzing and excited.
