Manchester City is currently aware of a contract to sign Joshua Kimmich.
Manchester City are interested in signing Bayern Munich’s No. 6 Joshua Kimmich, and the club’s ideas on a trade have been aired.

Sam Lee, Manchester City journalist for The Athletic, shared the information.

So, what does Manchester City know about a prospective Joshua Kimmich deal? Let us have a look.

What Manchester City Knows About the Kimmich Deal
According to The Athletic, Manchester City understands how difficult it will be to sign the Germany international from Bayern Munich this summer, as mild pessimism creeps into the prospects of a deal.

Nonetheless, Lee adds that Txiki Begiristain is still looking at ways to finalise the signing as Manchester City seeks to replace Kalvin Phillips.

Kimmich will have only 12 months left on his contract with Bayern Munich at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star, and his value will have dropped to roughly £25 million by then.

According to the Daily Star, the 28-year-old is eager to rejoin with Guardiola, whom he previously worked with at Bayern Munich.

Kimmich has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season, scoring once and assisting six times.

What Kimmich said about working with Guardiola again.
Kimmich said in 2019 that he would want to work with Guardiola again, amid reports of the 53-year-old returning to the Allianz Arena to replace Niko Kovac.

According to Sky Sports, the Rottweiler stated, “I know (Guardiola) and have a lot to thank him for.” He promoted me from the second division to the Bundesliga.

“We won the double together, and following that season, I played for Germany. So, of course, I won’t be against him returning.”

Kimmich made 36 games under Guardiola, assisting twice as Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal.

Hopefully, the German playmaker and the Spaniard can reconnect at Manchester City this summer.
