The 29-year-old Manchester City player has returned to training after an injury.
It has been confirmed that John Stones has returned to full training for Manchester City following an injury suffered against Everton.
The City defender, whose return to training has been reported by Manchester Evening News’ Simon Bajkowski, suffered a knock while challenging Beto against the Toffees, who was clear through on goal.
While the Everton striker was clearly offside, the linesman did not raise his flag until the run of play had subsided.
John Stones returns to training following his injury against Everton.
John Stones had to be hooked off during the match, and he would miss the Sky Blues’ next three games against Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town, and Newcastle United.
So far this season, injuries have limited the £250,000-per-week (Sport Rac) man’s Premier League appearances, with only five starts.

According to Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News, John Stones returned to full training for Manchester City in Abu Dhabi during the Premier League’s continuing winter break. The triple champions face Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday when they return to England.
The same cannot be said for the injured combination of Erling Haaland and Manuel Akanji, who were not seen practicing for City.
John Stones’ return must be a tremendous relief for Pep Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola must be relieved that John Stones appears to have recovered from his injury and is back practicing with the first squad.
Not only is the 29-year-old one among the greatest in the world at his position, but he also provides tactical steadiness.
In John Stones’ absence, Pep Guardiola is obliged to play Manuel Akanji in midfield from centre-back, which is an experiment that has yet to pay off, or Kyle Walker and Josko Gvardiol are tasked with hugging the touchline as full-backs.
While this change allows their wingers to snuggle into the centre and maximise possession in the middle of the game, it also exposes Manchester when defending against counter-attacking situations.
As a result, John Stones’ return to form is a boon for Pep Guardiola.
