24-year-old who hasn’t played this season has been told by Pochettino he can leave Chelsea this month and Chelsea is ready to terminate his contract this season

Trevoh Chalobah, a defender, was always anticipated to leave Chelsea this month, but Mauricio Pochettino has officially informed him that he is free to depart before the January transfer window closes.

Football Insider claims that Chalobah is not part of the Chelsea manager’s plans and that the London team sees the 24-year-old as a marketable asset who, if moved this month, may help them in the Financial Fair Play department.

The Chelsea centre back has missed the entire season due to injury, but recent news suggests he may be getting back to full shape, which will help his chances of landing a team.

Although Chalobah’s next destination is still uncertain, a number of teams have expressed interest in signing him. According to Alfredo Pedulla, Serie A teams AC Milan and Napoli have both made offers for the defender.

Nearer to home, Crystal Palace has not yet made an official offer for the Chelsea star, despite their desire in acquiring the center-back.

Chalobah has to leave Stamford Bridge this month in order to improve, but clubs have not yet made an offer for the defender, so it is still unclear if they will.
