Chelsea are looking to bolster their attacking options by bringing in a new winger before the January transfer window shuts.
Several players, including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Nicolas Jackson, were signed by the West London club during the summer transfer window last year.
Despite all of these arrivals last summer, Chelsea football club is still looking to recruit more players as they prepare for the second half of the current 2023/2024 football season.
And, if reports are to be believed, Chelsea FC has been connected with a move for highly-rated Palmeiras right-winger Estevao Willian this month.
The 16-year-old Brazil International, who was promoted to the Palmeiras U17 squad in 2021, has established himself as one of the best young wingers in the Brazilian league thus far.
During the 2022/2023 season, the youthful right-winger was heavily featured with Palmeiras, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 15 appearances across all competitions.
Estevao Willian, a highly rated player, has also been fairly influential for Palmeiras this 2023/2024 football season, scoring four goals in three matches.
His impressive performances on the wings are thought to have piqued the interest of Chelsea football club, and according to Transfer News Live, the Blues are interested in signing him.
According to the sources, Chelsea football club is very interested in Estevao Willian and has dispatched officials to Brazil to clinch a trade for the young right-winger.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to desire additional attacking reinforcements this year, and the Premier League club is trying to make a deal for Estevao Willian.
Having said that, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea Football Club will reach a speedy deal with Brazilian club Palmeiras and clinch the signing of Estevao Willian before the end of the January transfer window.
