Casemiro is expected to leave Manchester United

Manchester United are set to offload Casemiro this summer, with the Brazilian midfielder expected to be sold for a fee in the region of €15 to €17 million. Having joined the club in 2022, Casemiro played a key role in stabilizing United’s midfield with his experience and leadership. However, with his influence on the pitch declining and the club shifting its focus toward a younger, more energetic playing style, United are now ready to move on. Manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly spearheading a major squad revamp, and Casemiro’s departure is seen as a crucial step in that process.

The 31-year-old, once regarded as one of Europe’s best defensive midfielders, no longer fits the profile of the dynamic, press-resistant players Amorim is said to favor. Although Manchester United initially paid close to £60 million to secure Casemiro’s services, they appear willing to accept a significant financial loss in order to reduce their wage bill and make room for new signings. His reported weekly salary of £350,000 has become a burden, and freeing up that space will offer flexibility in the transfer market. Potential replacements already being linked to the club include Manuel Ugarte, João Neves, and Désiré Doué, all of whom align more closely with Amorim’s tactical vision.
