Although Manchester United initially paid close to £60 million to secure Casemiro’s services, they appear willing to accept a significant financial loss in order to reduce their wage bill and make room for new signings. His reported weekly salary of £350,000 has become a burden, and freeing up that space will offer flexibility in the transfer market.
