Erling Haaland goes wild for 64th-minute moment in Manchester City 5-0 Huddersfield

Manchester City fans went crazy for Phil Foden today when he scored two goals against Huddersfield Town – and Erling Haaland got caught up in the Foden frenzy at one point.

City advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup after defeating the Championship side 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Foden scored twice, while Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doky also scored. Oscar Bobb was also responsible for an own goal.

Foden was a joy to watch today, as he has been a lot recently as he has taken on central roles.

He came in for praise from BBC analyst Leon Osman during the game, and he really did light up the game at moments.

His second goal was brilliantly taken, and it undoubtedly inspired City striker Erling Haaland, who is injured…

Haaland returned to the Etihad today to watch his colleagues compete.

The Norwegian is back in City’s first-team training, but he wasn’t nearly ready to play against the Terriers today. He is expected to be available to play against Newcastle United next Saturday.

This was his sixth missed game for City, but he didn’t appear too angry tonight, with his teammates impressing.

Foden was particularly impressive in the number 10 position once again, and his second goal in the 64th minute was a superb controlled finish into the far corner.

Haaland was being videotaped from the sidelines, and the official FA Cup account on X has published the clip, which shows the 23-year-old celebrating his teammate’s goal.

The BBC iPlayer also captured Haaland’s reaction, which included a wide grin.

Haaland must be yearning to reunite with Foden.
What another outstanding performance from Foden, who is prospering in the centre right now.

The England international has performed admirably in De Bruyne’s absence, and many City fans, including himself, are hoping that he will continue to play centrally.

At this point, Haaland is probably hoping for the same thing, because Foden’s vision and ability to play through balls is exceptional. He is completely aware of what is going on around him and where his colleagues are.

He’s been combining incredibly well with Alvarez recently, so image the devastation that could occur whenever Haaland returns to leading the line.
