“if you bench him you risk losing your Job, I can’t see why you will have an experience player and decide to use Academy Player”- Manchester City Owner has sent Pep Guardiola a warning not to drop £100,000k per week star in today’s game

When Man City plays Sheffield United, Pep Guardiola has to send on a “confident” man.
Pep Guardiola needs to start Josko Gvardiol for Manchester City in their Premier League game against Sheffield United.

After beating Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park on Wednesday night, City is back in action this afternoon when they host the Blades.

As we look ahead to the last game at the Etihad Stadium in 2023, one player we think should be there from the start is Gvardiol.

As of now, Gvardiol has to start against Sheffield United.

As the first half of the game against Everton was coming to a close, John Stones got hurt and had to leave the game because of an ankle problem. He had been in a collision with Beto, a striker for Everton.

Finally, Gvardiol came on to replace the English player and helped his team win after coming back from behind.

MORE STORIES ABOUT MAN CITY
While playing against the Merseyside club, the Croatian did his part defending by making two tackles and winning five of the six duels he was in. This kept City from giving up another goal.

Zlatko Dalic has called the center-back a “confident” player, and in 14 league games he has made, he has made 16 interceptions, 15 tackles, and 17 blocks, more than any other City player.

Since Stones is hurt and can’t play, having the 21-year-old in the team could be very important for Guardiola and City’s defensive choices going forward.

City will have more defensive stability with Gvardiol on the field against Sheffield United this afternoon, even though the Blades haven’t been very good at scoring goals this season (15 goals in 19 games).
