Virgil Van Dijk’s ban has been announced for involving in a life changing dispute with an Manchester United player after the 0-0 draw in yesterday’s #LIVMNU match in which PGMOL has made an Official Decision based on the Liverpool player which would take a drastic turn in the Young lads careerš±š
On Sunday, Liverpool and Manchester United played a very important football match in England. Both teams had different goals. The fact that Liverpool beat Erik ten Hag’s team 7-0 last season made people even more excited for this latest match.
During the game, Tsimikas and Antony got into a short fight, with Antony pointing to an advertisement board. Liverpool’s left back Tsimikas had to keep the Brazilian player Antony in check, which became a test in the middle of the first half.
The United player chased the ball to the corner, but Tsimikas blocked it, which made it out of play. But Tsimikas’s behaviour seemed to make his teammate Van Dijk very wary. He told him to calm down and avoid getting too many yellow cards.
Six yellow cards were given out by referee Michael Oliver during the game. Bookings were made for Darwin Nunez, Wataru Endo, Kobbie Mainoo, Sofyan Amrabat, Luke Shaw, and Marcus Rashford. Also, Diogo Dalot was given a yellow card and then sent off for two separate incidents of protest in quick succession during extra time in the second half.
As of now, Tsimikas has not been given any yellow or red cards while playing for Liverpool this season. Van Dijk probably wants this streak to keep going, especially with all the games coming up.
Even though Liverpool had many chances to score against United, none of their 34 shots found the net, making for a somewhat disappointing showing. In the late stages of the second half, Nunez missed a chance because he didn’t go after the ball because he thought Diaz had been fouled in the box just moments before.
The best chance for United came from Rasmus Hojlund, but his shot went straight at Alisson, who was still looking for his first Premier League goal.
Both teams were happy with a point at the end of the game, but Liverpool may have been more upset because they had been the better team the whole time.
