Manchester City have been linked with West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta in recent weeks, and the Brazilian impressed for the Irons today.
City dropped points in the Premier League yesterday, drawing 2-2 at the Etihad Stadium with Crystal Palace.
It was a very painful conclusion to accept because City had looked so comfortable throughout the game and had been camped in the Palace half for the majority of it.
However, defensive lapses allowed the Eagles to take a point from the encounter, and City fans are growing increasingly concerned after only one win in the last six league games.

The Brazilian was simply magnificent for the Hammers, setting up all three goals in an easy 3-0 win.
Paqueta passed by Mohammed Kudus twice before finding Jarrod Bowen in the second half.
Paqueta demonstrated excellent footwork and ball retention throughout the game. In addition to three assists, the hero made six critical passes, the most of any player in the game (Statman Dave).
He was extremely effective defensively, winning 12/19 duels (according to Sofascore).
It wasn’t quite ‘Kevin De Bruyne masterclass versus Wolves’ territory, but it was a true statement performance from the £150,000-a-week virtuoso, who is undoubtedly a player who would thrive in City’s lineup. The Evening Standard gave him an 8/10 for his performance, calling it “a superb hat-trick of assists, all with passes that were made to look simple but were perfectly executed.”
It was reported last month that City intends to make another move for Paqueta in January. However, if City decides to sign him, he will almost certainly face stiff opposition.
Paqueta is a top performer.
Paqueta was a player City desperately wanted in the summer, but they were unable to sign him because West Ham stayed hard, and then rumours of his unusual betting surfaced.
It is unknown whether City will make another move for Paqueta, but there is no disputing his quality.
In the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, City have been crying out for some technical quality. Julian Alvarez has shown flashes of brilliance this season, but he does not appear totally at ease playing as an advanced midfielder alongside Phil Foden.
It would be fantastic if the team could sign Paqueta, but realistically, it will be a very difficult transaction to complete because West Ham will not want to sell a crucial player in the middle of the season, especially if they want to compete for a European position.
