According to a source, Chelsea could sell Conor Gallagher during the January transfer window.
This season, the midfielder has been an important component in Mauricio Pochettino’s side, playing in midfield and serving as captain on several occasions due to Reece James’ injuries and suspensions.
With a large churn of players at the club, Gallagher has often been a player that Blues fans can identify to, with Gallagher an academy graduate who has been at the club since the age of eight.

Chelsea have spent more than £1 billion on acquisitions since Todd Boehly took over the club last summer, yet they are currently 12th in the Premier League table after another disappointing season.
Despite the importance of Gallagher to current manager Pochettino, Chelsea may sell the 23-year-old in order to raise finances to sign more players in January.
Pochettino has stated that the team will try to improve their fortunes in the winter after suffering back-to-back defeats to Manchester United.
The primary issue is Gallagher’s contract, which has 18 months left on it with no sign of negotiations starting. As a result, he may be offloaded in order to raise funds before his contract expires.
The Blues have reportedly struggled to stay within the division’s and other financial rules, and it is believed they will be able to obtain a substantial amount for Gallagher if they sell. In the summer, Tottenham and Newcastle were connected with him.
Gallagher has made 63 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions after loan spells at Charlton, West Bromwich Albion, and Crystal Palace.
In that time, he has three goals while playing in a deeper central midfield position, though he has moved farther forward this season.
He also has 11 England caps to his name, having played for his country at the junior level.
