Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated the reason why Erling Haaland was not among Manchester City Squad today against Luton Town.

Pep Guardiola delivers an update on Erling Haaland’s injuries.

Pep Guardiola has disclosed the seriousness of Erling Haaland’s injury, which caused him to miss his team’s match against Luton Town on Sunday.

After relegation-threatened Luton Town took the lead against the triple champions by an Elijah Adebayo header, it appeared that another upset was on the cards.

However, Manchester City came back in the second half with two goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish to secure the victory.

City didn’t appear to be as dangerous as they usually are, which can be attributed to the absence of their great Norwegian striker.

Haaland was left out of the matchday squad due to an injury, which Guardiola revealed after the game.

“Tension [on the] bone.” Stress. “It’s just stress,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

“Please do not inquire whether his foot is fractured. It’s simply stress bone.

“He wasn’t ready for this game, and I doubt he’ll be ready for Crystal Palace.” Hopefully, he’ll be ready for the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. How he feels will be determined week by week.”
