Former Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho is set to make a stunning comeback to the Premier League by JOINING this club
West Ham may revive their pursuit of Jose Mourinho, who will leave Roma in the summer. The ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho is expected to leave Italian giants Roma at the end of the current season.
The Portuguese’s contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 Serie A season, and he’s unlikely to renew, especially since he’s having more difficulty getting a tune out of his Giallorossi players this season.
According to TeamTalk, he will most likely quit the club next summer.
At the moment, the club is seventh in the Italian first division, eight points behind leaders Inter Milan.
A fresh challenge awaits, with a return to the Premier League a distinct possibility.
Back in March, LaRoma24 reported on a surprising offer made by West Ham to Mourinho, who was flattered but passed it down because his attention remained on Roma.
Now that situation has definitely altered, and with the Hammers actively seeking for a replacement for Moyes, according to Football Insider, it may be an appropriate time for Mourinho to resume his love affair with the English top division and in a city he is familiar with.
Certainly, a move for the Special One makes perfect sense if West Ham wish to continue on their upward trend and not let their Europa Conference League title win become another ‘once in a lifetime’ experience.
Funds will undoubtedly need to be invested in the team for Mourinho to feel comforted by the concept, but as the club shown in the previous transfer window, money will be made available for the correct players.
