I gave him the chance to leave in September transfer  but he decided to Stay, he will be on the Bench till January Window and his contract will not be Renewed-Pep Guardiola says ‘intelligent’ £42m player could’ve actually left Man City this summer

Kalvin Phillips has been told to stay at Manchester City, even though he is said to be thinking about leaving in 2024.

Callum Wilson, the ninth player for Newcastle, told the England player to stay put.

What did people say about Kalvin Phillips? Let’s look…

What’s going on?
According to ESPN, the Manchester City No. 4 is now thinking about leaving the Etihad Stadium because Pep Guardiola didn’t pay enough attention to him when Rodri wasn’t there.

It was Phillips who said, “I want minutes” after England beat Italy 3-1 on Tuesday.

But now Wilson has told his countryman to stay at Manchester City.

“I think it all depends on the person and what they want,” the 31-year-old said. You stay at Manchester City and end your career with a lot of medals. If that sounds good to you, that’s great.

“But he’s still so young. He is a great player. He’ll feel like he can help that City team, and so do I. But there is someone else, Rodri, who is really good and is competing with him. It’s really hard. Would I leave the city? I would still want to play for Man City, even if it was just on loan.

“I’d stay put and fight.”

Phillips should no longer play for Manchester City.
Wilson’s reasoning sounds more like it has to do with the fact that he works for Manchester City than with the fact that he is an important part of the team.

We don’t agree with Wilson because a 27-year-old football player at this level shouldn’t be happy with two Premier League games in almost 18 months.

Phillips needs to leave Manchester City if he still believes he can do well in the Premier League and wants to be known as more than just a backup player.

The interesting thing is that Wilson and the man from Yorkshire might soon be teammates. The Northern Echo says Newcastle are on high watch in case he becomes available this winter.

Anything could happen in January, so keep an eye on what’s going on with Phillips.
