“I can See Pep Guardiola doesn’t want me in his team anymore even after impressing in the international duties he still bench me- £150k-a-week Manchester City player now suggests he could actually leave the Etihad

‘I want minutes’: £150,000 per week Manchester City’s player has hinted that he may leave the club.

After England’s win over Italy last night, Kalvin Phillips appeared to hint that he would depart Manchester City in quest of regular minutes.

Gareth Southgate gave the 27-year-old a start at Wembley.

England won 3-1, securing their place in next summer’s finals in Germany.

After falling behind 1-0 to Gianluca Scamacca’s strike, Harry Kane converted a penalty, Marcus Rashford added a second, and Kane added a third for the Three Lions.

England’s duty is done, and Southgate can now use the remaining games to evaluate other players.

Despite not playing for his team, Phillips remains a someone he admires.

Southgate recently said that it would be preferable if players played regularly for their clubs – and Phillips appears to have recommended making that happen after the game…

After England defeated Italy, Kalvin Phillips made some fascinating observations.
Phillips was booked during the game for a poor challenge.

Phillips has indicated that he may consider leaving in January.

“I kicked myself when I made that challenge, I knew it was going to be a yellow card,” he remarked (via Telegraph).

“It’s most likely a lack of minutes at the club level.” Perhaps I was fortunate not to be sent off, and I want to play as much as possible, but I haven’t done so in over a year and a half.

“I always try to be prepared for whatever comes my way.” I want minutes and to attend the Euros. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
