Bayern Munich, the defending champions of the Bundesliga, reportedly spoke with Manchester City about Kalvin Phillips.
Following his £45 million summer transfer from Leeds United, Phillips has had difficulty securing regular playing time with the treble-winners. Only five times in all competitions has the 27-year-old midfielder started for the Premier League champions.
The England international has been mentioned in connection with a mid-season push by a number of teams. According to reports from 90min, Bayern has now been added to that list.

Other reports from Football Insider claim that City are prepared to reopen negotiations with Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze after their speculative attempts to recruit him this summer fell through. Before ultimately signing Matheus Nunes from Wolves, City had been connected to playmakers Lucas Paqueta of West Ham and Eze of West Indies.
Eze is reportedly still being watched over by the City as he develops. His estimated value at Palace is near to £70 million, or £17 million more than City spent for Nunes, according to Football Insider.
Less than two years remain on Eze’s contract, who is 25. Since joining Palace from QPR in August 2020, the midfielder has played in 102 matches for the club. He has also earned two England national team caps.
