‘I pleaded with Him to come Man city but he insist on Joining Arsenal’: Man city star Rodri confirmed His £45m teammate wants to join Arsenal over Man city by JANUARY

I begged him to go to Manchester City, but he insisted on going to Arsenal instead. The £45 million colleague of Man City star Rodri has stated his preference to join Arsenal over Man City come January.

According to rumors in Spain, Arsenal is nearing an agreement to capture Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi before the January transfer window opens.

As Mikel Arteta once again strengthened his roster, the Gunners added Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and David Raya during the summer transfer window.

After dominating for much of the year in the Premier League title race, Arsenal finished second to Manchester City and earned a spot in the Champions League.

They now have more money to spend on players in the transfer market after receiving that windfall, and according to Spanish media reports, they are moving closer to signing Sociedad midfielder Zubimendi.

The Spanish newspaper Nacional claims that the Gunners are “close to taking” a “favorite” of Barcelona manager Xavi away from him. The Spain international has previously been linked with Arsenal.

The midfielder has 143 appearances for Real Sociedad, and while Xavi is a great fan, Arsenal ‘have set their eyes on’ Zubimendi as Arteta aims to ‘complete rebuilding’ his team.

With Arsenal able to activate Xavi’s €60 million (£51 million) release clause ‘without bargaining,’ any deal has suddenly turned into “more of a dream than a possibility,” with Barcelona seeking to reduce the asking price.

After putting Declan Rice first in the summer, Arsenal is now ‘pursuing his signature’ in January, and Arteta has made his compatriot his ‘first priority to bolster the team’.

After a strong start to the season, the Gunners visit Everton on Sunday, but former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes the Toffees can restrict Arteta’s team to a draw.

There are reports that Everton is changing owners, Berbatov stated to Betfair. They need the points because their campaign hasn’t gotten off to a good start.

“Playing against Arsenal is not ideal for them. Everton must play smart against Arsenal since they are a good football team. They must attempt to physically defeat them if they lack the quality to compete with Arsenal. They’ll need to intimidate them a little. Back in the day, Everton had some quality players. Players whose elbows would fly around during a game are not ones you want to play against. Even if it looks nasty, they must employ their strongest sides.

“To get the points, you must employ desperate tactics in a difficult position. Everton won’t have a successful season if they carry on as they have. It might surprise you, but I predict that this game will end in a tie. Expectation: 1-1.

Paul Merson, a former midfielder for Arsenal, said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Everton forced a draw but believes the Gunners will prevail.

“Everton strangely turn up in these big games, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this one ends all square,” Merson said to Sportskeeda. They’re going to start giving up all of their opportunities one day, and that will be the day things start to work out.

That being said, Arsenal are unquestionably the overwhelming favorites going into this game, and if Manchester City win their game, there will be pressure on Arsenal to earn all three points. Although the outcome of this match is far from certain, I think Arsenal will rise to the occasion and secure all three points.

“Gabriel Jesus’ return to full fitness is a huge boost for Arsenal, who have had their fair share of issues lately. In order to compete on all fronts with UEFA Champions League football just around the corner, they’ll need timely contributions from every player in the squad. Everton will lose to Arsenal 2-0.
