“I grabbed her in order to calm her down” – Manchester United winger Antony speaks out after being accused of assault by ex-girlfriend.
The Manchester United player Antony has reportedly spoken out following his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin’s accusation of violence.
According to earlier reports, Cavallin’s attorneys have put up a detailed, 70-page dossier outlining her purported experiences while dating the Brazilian footballer.
Attorney Vanessa Souza stated that Antony might be found liable in England for three distinct offenses, including sending threatening communications, imprisoning her inside the home, and engaging in domestic violence that resulted in injuries.
Additionally, fresh proof surfaced last week when a Brazilian user published Whatsapp conversations that were purportedly threatening communications from the Manchester United man as well as purported pictures of Cavallin with injuries to her hands and head.
The 23-year-old has since then been dropped from the most recent Brazil squad. Meanwhile Manchester United have put out a statement that they are taking the matter seriously and that a police investigation is ongoing.
And now the player himself has seemingly spoken out regarding the accusations. The quotes are doing the rounds on social media with several accounts posting on X.
Regarding the incident, he allegedly said:

And when asked whether he is afraid Manchester United will terminate his contract, he said:
