Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk “needs to step up” his performances at Stamford Bridge, according to writer Dean Jones, who also names another player whose performances must improve this season to GIVEMESPORT.

Chelsea co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly acted quickly to snare the Ukraine international from the Gunners, signing him in a deal worth £88.5 million. Mudryk couldn’t help but show his joy at heading to Stamford Bridge after impressing in the first half of the season at Shakhtar (via Sky Sports).

However, Mudryk’s presence in west London has not been without incident. Pochettino is now in charge of developing the holder of Ukraine’s record transfer fee, who has yet to score for Chelsea.

Jones believes Chelsea are now in a position where Mudryk must improve his game, and he believes the same is true for £60 million left-back Marc Cucurella, who has seen Ben Chilwell become the Blues’ most advanced player. According to the journalist, GIVEMESPORT:
“We’ve reached the point at Chelsea where they need him to start performing and making an impact on this team.” Chilwell is the most progressed and dangerous player for Chelsea at the moment. That’s not a good situation.
Pochettino should reconsider whatever positive qualities he sees in him. Chilwell is a good attacking left-back, but he’s not a striker or an outright winger, and Chelsea have realized this.
